Delux

From the borderlands of Tijuana, Baja California, Delux emerged in the 2000s. Heavily influenced by 1980s new wave and the Southern California punk scene, the band came together with the determination to make an indelible mark on the music industry. Delux is an adventurous group that, on their own terms, managed to tour throughout Mexico and the United States for over a decade.

Their debut album, Delux, released in 2004, earned them a nomination for Best New Artist at the prestigious MTV Video Music Awards. In 2007, their leap to wider recognition was solidified with the release of Entre La Guerra y El Amor under the renowned Sony record label. This milestone opened the doors to a broader and more diverse audience. That same year, the band was recognized by Alternative Press with inclusion in its exclusive “100 Bands To See” list.

During the 2010s, Delux continued to evolve with the release of a bilingual album, cementing their status as one of the most influential Spanish rock bands of the Internet era. Their growing impact was further underscored by support from respected brands such as Gibson, Seymour Duncan, Paiste, Aquarium, and Ddrum.

Delux has shared the stage with notable acts including Fall Out Boy, We the Kings, Angels & Airwaves, Fenix TX, The Sounds, and Cobra Starship. Their international reach expanded even further with the release of the album $ in Japan through Tower Records.

From their MTV VMA nomination in 2004 to their inclusion in the Alternative Press chart in 2007, Delux has left an indelible mark on the history of Spanish punk. Their journey continues, carrying the essence of punk, boundless passion, and an indomitable spirit that has made them contemporary legends.

The year 2024 promises to be an exceptional chapter for the band, beginning with the release of a documentary offering an intimate look at their journey through the years. In addition, a new album is currently in the works, poised to resonate with longtime fans and reach new horizons.
