Lower Definition

Lower Definition is a post hardcore band from San Diego, California, known for their melodic aggression, emotional depth, and explosive live performances. Emerging from Southern California’s 2000s post hardcore scene, the band built a devoted following with their 2008 debut The Greatest of All Lost Arts (Ferret Music). Now, after more than a decade, they return with renewed energy and their first full-length album since, The Purpose of the Moon, out January 9, 2026. Written and produced by the band in San Diego, the record was mixed by Jaime Preciado (Pierce The Veil) and mastered by Mike Kalajian (Bad Omens, A Day To Remember), blending raw emotion with modern precision. The reunited lineup: Matt Geise, Eddy Marshburn, Stefan Toler, Mark Luciano, and Valentino Arteaga (Of Mice & Men), continues to push their signature fusion of melody and heaviness, marking a bold new chapter as they return to the stage in 2026, including their appearance on Vans Warped Tour.
